Biographical Information

Mark Martinez was a college coach.

Martinez was an All-Conference shortstop at Mesa State then was assistant coach there from 1984-1988. He was assistant at the University of New Mexico from 1988-2005 then assistant to Tony Gwynn at San Diego State from 2006-2014. He succeeded Gwynn as head coach and was 257-217 in nine seasons before retiring.
