Mark Leavitt has been a college coach and a scout.
Leavitt was an assistant coach at George Washington University, Princeton University, James Madison University, George Mason University and Stetson University (2010- ). He was head coach of the Harwich Mariners at one point. He scouted for the Montréal Expos (1997-2001) and Seattle Mariners (2001-2007). From 2007-2009, he was head coach of Salisbury School. As a scout, he signed Sébastien Boucher and Bryan LaHair.
