Biographical Information[edit]
SS Mark Harris played in the New York Yankees chain from 1978 to 1980, playing one year at AA. He is the son of Gail Harris.
After retiring Harris was a scout for the Texas Rangers and Philadelphia Phillies.
Harris was a roving coach for the Kansas City Royals in 2007 and the Royals' Minor League Infield Coordinator in 2008-2010. He was then a hitting coach for the Potomac Nationals in 2011, Hagerstown Suns in 2012 and Potomac again in 2013. Harris moved up to the Harrisburg Senators for 2014-2015, then moved to the Auburn Doubledays in 2016-2019 and FCL Nationals in 2021. Harris was development coach of the Wilmington Blue Rocks in 2022-2024.
