Biographical Information[edit]
Mark Carson has been a minor league pitcher and college coach.
Carson was 7-3 and hit .323 in junior college. He was 7-3 as a junior at Southern Mississippi then had a 11-2 record as a senior. Undrafted, he signed as a free agent with the Cincinnati Reds. He started one game for the 1991 Billings Mustangs, allowing six hits, two walks and five runs (four earned) in five innings and taking the loss. He coached Briarcrest Christian School from 1992-1997, going 93-52. From 1998-2005, he was assistant coach at Northwest Mississippi Community College. He was promoted to head coach in 2006 and was 172-130-2 in his first six years. He took the team to the NJCAA World Series in 2007.
