Biographical Information

After attending Coastal Carolina University, first baseman Mark Austry attended Texas Tech University from 1998 to 2000. He played for the Fort Worth Cats of the independent All-American Association in 2001, hitting .263 and slugging .313. He died at age 32 after collapsing following a half-marathon in Dallas, Texas.
