Biographical Information[edit]

Marielbys Ferro has been on the Cuban women's national team.

She debuted in the 2016 Women's Baseball World Cup, starting at 1B and batting 7th versus Venezuela. She struck out against Giddelys Cumana her first time up; her first hit came off South Korea's Mi-ran Lee. She hit .357/.471/.357 for the event and stole 3 bases in 3 tries; she fielded .975. She tied Bronwyn Gell, Malaika Underwood and Amalia Hopson for 3rd in the Cup in HBP (3) and was 7th with 36 putouts (between Nikita Gaude and Lee-sel Yang). [1] In the 2018 Women's Baseball World Cup, she was mostly used at DH as Libia Duarte played first. She hit .400/.353/.467 with six RBI in seven games, leading Cuba in RBI. [2]
