Biographical Information[edit]
Marcus Pattillo has been an umpire. His father Roger Pattillo was a college coach.
Marcus pitched briefly for the Ozark Patriots in 2002, going 0-2 with a 5.47 ERA in four games. He then sold insurance for a period before becoming an umpire. He began his minor league umpiring career in the Gulf Coast League in 2008. He had made it to AAA within four years, working in the 2012 International League. He transferred to the Pacific Coast League in 2013. By 2014, he was a MLB fill-in umpire. He also worked games in the majors in 2015, but was not added to the permanent staff. He worked the 2015 Premier 12, including the Bronze Medal game.
