Marcos Berenguer played for the Spanish national team in the 1990s.
In the 1993 European Championship, he hit .300/.481/.350 with 6 runs in 8 games; the outfielder had 15 putouts, an assist and an error. He was 10th in OBP (between Antonio Salazar and Jamel Boutagra) and his 12 error-free chances in center trailed only teammate Salazar. [1] He remained with Spain for the 1993 Intercontinental Cup, but eked out a .130/.193/.130 line with one run and three RBI in nine games, fielding .917 in center. [2] During the 1995 European Championship, he was 3-for-20 with a walk and fielded .909 as Spain won Bronze. [3]
