Biographical Information[edit]

Diminutive righthander Marco Quevedo pitched in his native Mexico from 2009 to 2021, both in the Mexican League and the Mexican Pacific League. In addition, he played in the 2011 Caribbean Series.

A native of Mexico City, his principal summer-time team has been the hometown Diablos Rojos del Mexico, although he has pitched for a number of other teams as well. In his best seasons, he went 8-3, 4,94 in 19 starts for the Red Devils in 2011, 8-3, 3.46 in 20 games (18 starts) for the Leones de Yucatan in 2015 and 7-4, 4.08 in 18 starts for the same team in 2016. He was part of the capital's most recent championship team (as of 2023) in 2014. Overall, he went 50-40, 5.21 in 222 games in la Liga, 121 of them starts. Most of his career came at a time when the circuit was very much a hitters' league.

In winter ball, he has moved repeatedly, playing for just about every franchise in the Mexican Pacific League. He went 6-1 for the Yaquis de Obregon in 2010-11, helping them not only to the league title, but to winning the Caribbean Series in his only appearance in the annual classic. In fact, on January 29th, he was the winning pitcher in Game 7 of the championship series against the Algodoneros de Guasave, one of the teams for which he would later pitch.
