Marcel Mirette has played for the Austrian national team.
Mirette went to the Regensburg Baseball Academy in Germany. [1] He made his Bundesliga-1 debut in Germany with the 2021 Regensburg Legionäre, going 4 for 18 with a homer, two walks, six runs and four RBI in six games, then was 1 for 9 with a triple and two walks in the postseason. [2] He was Austria's most-used third baseman in the 2021 European Championship. His first game, he started at third against Belgium, going 0 for 4 against Drew Janssen and Kenny Vandenbranden. His first hit came off indy league veteran Jonathan Kountis to score Sammy Hackl against Greece; he finished that game with three RBI. His single off Nico Garbella drove in their only run against Italy. He finished at .333/.333/.333 with pone run and five RBI in four games, fielding .875 at third base. He finished second on Austria in RBI, behind Ferdinand Obed. [3]
