Biographical Information

Manuel López pitched in the minors and for the Venezuelan national team.

He spent three seasons in the Toronto Blue Jays, all with the DSL Blue Jays. He was 1-4 with a save and a 4.81 ERA in 2010, then improved to 3-1 with a save and a 1.40 ERA and .98 WHIP in '11. Despite the fine season, he was sent back for a third year, going 2-3 with 7 saves, a 2.36 ERA and 1.02 WHIP. He made one appearance for Venezuela in the 2014 Central American and Caribbean Games, throwing two shutout innings with no hits or walks, striking out two. He was born the same day as another minor league pitcher named Lopez, Robinson Lopez.
