Manuel Campos debuted for the Salvadoran national team as a teenager.
Infielder Campos hit .200/.467/.200 for El Salvador in the 2017 Bolivarian Games, handling 14 chances error-free. He was not the only Manuel Campos in the event as Panama had a pitcher Manuel Campos. [1] In the 2017 Central American Games, he hit .389/.450/.389 with four runs in five games for the Bronze Medalists, though he made three errors. His first hit of the tourney was off former major leaguer Wilton López. He stole 3 bases in 4 tries, tying for third in the tourney; he was one behind Juan Colato and Andrés Aguilar. [2]
