Major

Major is a baseball manga series that was originally published in 1994 and ran until 2010. It was written by Takuya Mitsuda and published by Shogakukan. There were 78 volumes in its 16-year-long run. The series follows the life of a character named Gorō Honda, starting in his early childhood all the way to his career as a professional baseball player. The series was turned into an anime TV show in 2004 and also ran until 2010. The show had a total of 154 episodes, 3 OVAs (released in 2011 and 2012 after the series ended), and a movie (released in 2008). In 2015, the series got a sequel called Major 2nd.
