Biographical Information[edit]
Máté Hodosi debuted for the Hungarian national team in the 2021 European Championship Qualifier, drawing a walk and scoring a run in his lone plate appearance. [1] In the 2022 European Championship Qualifier, he hit .167/.250/.167 and fielded .938 as Hungary's main second baseman as they won a spot in the 2023 European Championship, their first European Championship. [2] In the 2023 Euros, he debuted against Great Britain, starting at second. He struck out against Matteo Sollecito then was lifted for pinch-hitter Benedek Laffer. He was 0-for-5 in the event, handling five chances error-free at 2B. [3]
