Biographical Information

Luke Nelson pitched 24 1/3 innings for the New York Yankees in 1919, which was the year before Babe Ruth showed up in New York. Luke was a year older than the Babe and a year younger than Wally Pipp.

He was with the Toledo Mud Hens in 1920 and went 18-5 for the Peoria Tractors in 1921.
