Luka Kreitmayer hit .412 in the 1997 European Championship to lead the Slovenian national team at age 18. He stole 4 bases in 5 tries, tying Jamel Boutagra for second behind Marc Marsch. In the 1999 European Championship, the Slovenian first baseman was 3 for 16 with 2 walks and a double; he also pitched two games, going 0-1 with 4 runs in 8 innings.
In the 2008 European Championship Qualifiers in Prague, he was 0 for 3 at the plate but 1-0 with a 1.69 ERA on the hill, getting the win over Latvia.
