Biographical Information[edit]

Luis Vasquez joined the Los Angeles Dodgers organization in 2007 and pitched in their minor league system through the 2013 season. He played in the Atlanta Braves system in 2014 and then was absent from the minor leagues from 2015-2017. During these years he did play winter ball in the Dominican League. He returned to affiliated ball in 2018 with the Kansas City Royals organization before returning to the Dodgers in 2019 to round out his career. Vasquez pitched at the AAA level on multiple occasions, but typically had high ERAs when he did so. The one exception was 2013 when he turned in a sterling 1.69 ERA in 10.2 innings. Over his 10 minor league seasons, Vasquez had an 18-18 record with 27 saves with an ERA of 5.26. He pitched in 217 games in his career, only 17 as a starter.

Vasquez returned to the Dodgers organization in 2022 as a bullpen coach for the Tulsa Drillers. He was then a pitching coach for the ACL Dodgers in 2023-2024.
