Biographical Information

Luis Silva played in the Texas Rangers minor league system from 2014-2017 and was traded to the Toronto Blue Jays during that final season. Silva reached the AA level briefly in 2016 with the Frisco RoughRiders. Overall Silva hit .238/.305/.292 in his four minor league seasons.

From his MiLB player transactions page [1] it appears Silva worked in the Blue Jays minor league system as a player/coach in 2018-2019. He was probably slated for the same role in 2020 before COVID-19 shut down the minor league season. In 2021-2022 Silva served as a Rehab Position Player Coach for the Jays. Silva returned to the field as a coach for the DSL Blue Jays in 2023-2024.
