Biographical Information[edit]
Luis C. Garcia hit .424/.457/.636 for Mexico in the 1993 Intercontinental Cup, leading the team in runs (8) and RBI (6). He was just 5 points shy of Todd Helton and Andrew Scott, who tied for 4th in the Cup in average. He was the right fielder for the Mexican team in the 1999 Pan American Games; they just missed qualifying for the 2000 Olympics that year. He helped Mexico win Bronze in the 2003 Pan American Games. In the 2006 Central American and Caribbean Games, he hit .444/.500/.556 for the Bronze Medal-winning Mexican team. He spent many years playing in the Mexican League.
