Biographical Information[edit]
Luis Boyer was a catcher on the Venezuelan national team that won Silver in the 1951 Amateur World Series. He turned pro in the winter of 1955-1956, hitting .128 and slugging .149 in 19 games for the Navegantes del Magallanes. He was 0 for 2 for the 1956-1957 Licereros de Pampero and 3 for 9 with a triple for them the next year, also pitching two shutout innings.
