Biographical Information[edit]

After reaching the CIF City Championship with Palisades Charter High School, Braun began his collegiate career at the University of San Diego. After his sophomore year, Braun transfered to Cal State Northridge where he started his first college games. He finished his junior year with a 2.91 ERA and 7 wins in 74 1/3 innings. His senior year at CSUN he threw 91 1/3 innings with 100 strikeouts in 15 starts. He was named to the All-Big West Conference Second-Team in 2022 and 2023.

Braun was then selected in the 6th round of the 2023 Amateur Draft by the Atlanta Braves. He began his professional career in the Summer of 2023 with the single-A Augusta GreenJackets posting a 1.04 ERA in 17 1/3 innings before joining the high-A Rome Braves to finish the season with two starts and 9 1/3 innings pitched. He began the 2024 campaign back in Rome, the team having been re-named the Rome Emperors in the interim.
