James Louis Bacon
Biographical Information[edit]
James Louis Bacon was a minor league player and manager of the 19th Century and early 20th Century. In various publications he was called both James Bacon and in others Louis Bacon. He managed the Buffalo Bisons/Grand Rapids Shamrocks/Montreal Canadiens club in (1890), Manchester Amoskeags in (1891), Salem in (1892), Providence in (1893), Bangor Millionaires (for part of 1894), the Pawtucket Maroons (1895), Belfast Pastimes in (1897), Lyons in (1898), the Binghamton Bingoes (1899), Binghamton Crickets (part of 1900), Troy Trojans (1901-1905) and was the original manager of the 1908 Gloversville-Johnstown Jags / Elmira Colonels franchise.
