Biographical Information[edit]

When he was drafted by the Cleveland Indians in the 2nd round of the 2020 amateur draft, pitcher Logan Allen was the second of that name to join the Indians, as namesake Logan Allen was with the major league team. The younger Logan was coming out of Florida International University and had already been drafted once previously, in the 16th round of the 2017 amateur draft by the Baltimore Orioles.

By the time Allen reached the major leagues in the early weeks of the 2023 season, the Indians had become the Cleveland Guardians and the other Logan Allen was no longer in the organization. In his debut on April 23rd, he made a successful start against the Miami Marlins, giving up 1 run in 6 innings to receive credit for a 7-4 win.
