The Lexington Counter Clocks were originally known as the Lexington Legends from 2001-2022. Originally affiliated with the Houston Astros (2001-2012) and the Kansas City Royals (2013-2019) in the South Atlantic League, the teamed joined the Atlantic League after they lost affiliation in the Minor League Reorganization in 2021. In 2024, the team returned to the Lexington Legends name, after only one season.
