Biographical Information

Les Dalrymple was the older brother of pitcher Mel Dalrymple and catcher Clay Dalrymple. Les was 12 years Clay's senior. He played for and later managed the Chico Colts, a semi-pro team in their hometown of Chico, California. Les, also a catcher, was in the minor leagues in 1947 and 1948. He hit .309 the first year and .278 the next for the Wenatchee Chiefs of the Western International League (Class B).
