Biographical Information[edit]
Outfielder Leroy "Cowboy" Jones played minor league ball from 1924 to 1941. He led the 1924 Piedmont League with 16 3B and the 1930 Central League with 162 R. Jones also led the 1928 Piedmont League with 47 2B and the 1933 Dixie League with 43 2B. Overall, Jones collected 2,347 hits, 551 2B and a .318 average in 2,117 games.
