Biographical Information

Leonel Pérez was a minor league catcher in 2003-2004, a minor league pitcher in 2006 and a minor league catcher in 2008.

Pérez then became a coach; he was with the Tennessee Smokies in 2014, the Iowa Cubs in 2015-2016 and was assistant hitting coach for the AZL Cubs in 2017 and AZL Cubs 1 in 2018. He became a manager with the DSL Cubs 2 in 2019. Pérez was a coach for the DSL Pirates Black in 2022-2023.
