Biographical Information[edit]

Leo Rosales was drafted by the San Diego Padres in the 20th round of the 2003 amateur draft. He was signed by scout Chris Gwynn and made his pro debut that summer. He played in the Padres chain for the first five years of his career before joining the Arizona Diamondbacks organization in 2008. Rosales made his major league debut on June 15th of that year. Over the next two years he continued to split his playing time between the majors and AAA. In his three partial MLB seasons he had a 5-2 record with a 5.01 ERA.

Rosales returned to the Padres organization in 2018. He was a pitching coach for the AZL Padres 1 in 2018 and the Tri-City Dust Devils in 2019. Rosales was slated for a promotion to the Fort Wayne TinCaps in 2020 before COVID-19 shut down the minor league season. When play resumed in 2021, Rosales worked as the pitching coach for the Lake Elsinore Storm in 2021-2022 and ACL Padres in 2023.
