Biographical Information[edit]
Infielder Larry Yaji played for the Nishitetsu Lions of the Japan Pacific League in 1952, hitting .224/.302/.304 with one home run, 19 runs and 12 RBI in 55 games while serving as a backup middle infielder. He stole 7 bases in 9 tries. He was part of the 1952 influx of Americans following the success of Wally Yonamine (who had also gone to Farrington High) in 1951.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
