Biographical Information[edit]

Larry Bigbie was a key figure in the Mitchell Report. Findings show that during his tenure with the Baltimore Orioles (the bulk of his major league career, 2001 to 2005), he purchased a wide variety of products from former New York Mets clubhouse worker Kirk Radomski. These performance-enhancing substances included human growth hormone, testosterone, the anabolic steroid Deca-Durabolin and several anti-estrogen drugs. He was dealt by the Orioles to the Colorado Rockies midway through 2005 and finished his big league career as a bench option with the 2006 St. Louis Cardinals. In 2008, Bigbie played with the Yokohama DeNA BayStars of Nippon Professional Baseball and in 2010, he was named the designated hitter of the Baseball America All-Independent Leagues Team for his work with the Edmonton Capitals of the Golden Baseball League.

Bigbie was once approached by the reality television show The Bachelor to star in a season, but he declined.
