Lake Wobegon Whippets

The Lake Wobegon Whippets is a fictional baseball team often mentioned on the radio show "A Prairie Home Companion", created by author Garrison Keillor and which is broadcast on public radio stations throughout the United States. The show takes place in an idealized America of the prairie states where people hold on to very traditional values, making the presence of a baseball nine a must.
