Kyuto Ueda has played in Nippon Pro Baseball.
Ueda represented Japan in the 2022 Haarlemse Honkbalweek, hitting .286/.375/.357. He was drafted by the Chiba Lotte Marines in the first round of the 2023 NPB draft after they lost the lotteries for the rights to Ryuki Watarai, Sho Kusaka and Haruki Hosono, making him the last first-round pick of that draft; the scout was Jin Matsuda. Ueda got his first hit against Ryosuke Ohtsu on April 4, 2024, and he ended up hitting .259/.302/.310 in 21 games in his first season, backing up Shogo Nakamura at 3B and Neftali Soto at 1B.
