Biographical Information[edit]
Kyu-min Woo is a reliever for the LG Twins.
Woo made his KBO debut in 2004, going 2-1 with a 3.93 ERA in 18 outings. He pitched six games in 2005, with a 1-0, 1.17 mark. In 2006, he had an excellent campaign, going 3-4 with 17 saves and a 1.55 ERA in 62 games, allowing only two home runs in 75 2/3 IP. He helped the South Korean national team win Bronze in the 2006 Asian Games.
Woo slipped a bit in 2007, with a 5-6 record, 2.65 ERA, 30 saves and 58 hits (3 homers) allowed in 78 innings. He was with the Korean national team for the 2008 Final Olympic Qualification Tournament, allowing one unearned run in 3 1/3 innings as South Korea advanced to the Beijing Games.
Woo has struggled in the first half of 2008, with a 1-5, 6.84 record and 10 saves after 31 games. He has allowed 35 hits in 25 innings and surrendered five home runs, more than in any prior season.
