Biographical Information[edit]
Kyoung-min Hur was drafted by the Doosan Bears in 2009. By the end of August, he had not yet played in a game in the Korea Baseball Organization. He was then loaned to the South Korean national team for the 2009 Baseball World Cup; despite the team having numerous collegiate players, the professional player Hur was the club's second-youngest member, a month older than Jun-heok Huh.
Hur backed up Boung-gon Jeong at shortstop in the 2009 World Cup, going 0 for 9 at the plate but with 3 walks and 3 times hit by pitch for a .400 OBP; he scored twice. Hur stole two bases in three tries. He made two errors in the field, fielding .882.
