Biographical Information[edit]
Kyle Pearson was a minor league pitcher.
Pearson was chosen by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 4th round of the 2003 amateur draft. He was 3-2 with a 2.05 ERA for the 2003 GCL Pirates but only pitched one game in 2004. In 2005, he was 2-10 with a 6.17 ERA for the Hickory Crawdads. He split 2006 between Hickory (3-4, 5.46) and the Williamsport Crosscutters (3-4, 3.92). In 2007, he pitched for Hickory (1-3, 5 Sv, 3.43) and the Lynchburg Hillcats (0-3, 2 Sv, 3.89). Pearson was ineffective in 2008 for Lynchburg (1-1, 4 Sv, 6.75, 12 BB in 13 1/3 IP) and the Altoona Curve (7 R, 14 H in 9 IP). He was then traded to the Detroit Tigers for Denny Bautista.
