Biographical Information[edit]

Starting pitcher Kyle Hald began his professional career in 2011 after being drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 18th round of the 2011 amateur draft.

He had immediate success in the professional ranks, going 7-0 with a 1.84 ERA in 53 2/3 innings for the Johnson City Cardinals; he allowed just 34 hits and had 63 strikeouts. Despite going 7-9 the next year, he had a 3.36 ERA in 24 starts between two teams and, after a rough year in 2013, he went 13-4 with a 3.68 ERA in 26 games (25 starts) between two teams in 2014. He reached Triple A for the first and only time in 2015, going 5-8 with a 5.08 ERA in 26 games (23 starts) between Double A and Triple A.

Overall, he went 37-29 with a 3.90 ERA in 111 games (103 starts).
