Biographical Information[edit]

Kyle Gruver is a pitcher.

He was 10-3 with a 1.11 ERA as a high school senior as Bowie High School finished second in Texas. At Navarro Junior College, he was 6-3 with a 2.00 ERA. He was at Texas State in 2004-2005 but did not pitch for them. He then pitched for the Hawks de La Guerche de Bretagne in Division Elite. He was also the coach, manager and delegation head for the team at the 2009 Challenge de France; as manager, he replaced Mathieu Beauchamp. He had a 5-2, 3.14 record for La Guerche with 73 strikeouts in 63 innings to form a solid 1-2 at the top of the rotation with Anthony Piquet but the club's other hurlers were a combined 2-6. Gruver also played DH frequently and hit .286/.458/.343.
