Biographical Information[edit]
Kyle Brennan was a catcher who played college ball at the University at Buffalo from 2013-2017 and earned a degree in kinesiology and exercise science. He later started a master's program to be a physician's assistant, but abandoned that in favor of coaching. Before joining the professional coaching ranks, Brennan worked as an EMT for ambulance services, as a youth coach, and as a performance coach.
Brennan began his more traditional coaching career as an assistant varsity coach with the Ward Melville High School Patriots in 2019. The Houston Astros hired Brennan in 2020 to be the Fayetteville Woodpeckers development coach before COVID-19 forced the cancellation of the minor league season. He was the development coach for the Asheville Tourists in 2021 and hitting coach of the DSL Astros Blue in 2022 and FCL Astros in 2023-2024.
