Biographical Information

Ky Hampton has pitched in the Australian Baseball League and for the Australian national team.

Hampton represented Australia in the 2017 U-18 Baseball World Cup, throwing a complete game shutout to beat Ruei-Yang Gu Lin and Taiwan. He had a 0.79 ERA for the event. He had a 1.35 ERA in 2 innings for the Adelaide Bite in 2016-2017, and he allowed 3 runs in 2 innings in 2017-2018. He then went to the USA and joined Eastern Illinois University. He went 5-2 with a 5.68 ERA in 2021, 1-1 with a 7.08 ERA in '22 and 7-3 with a 4.82 ERA in 2023. He tied for second in the Ohio Valley Conference in wins the latter year. Hampton also represented Australia in the 2023 Asia Professional Baseball Championship. He started against Chinese Taipei, and he pitched 3 shutout innings. That was his only appearance in the entire event, and the Australia lost to Chinese Taipei in the Bronze Medal game.
