Biographical Information[edit]
Submariner Kwang-kwon Lee pitched in the Korea Baseball Organization for 4 years.
Lee played for the South Korean national team in the 1978 Amateur World Series. When the KBO was founded in 1982, the MBC Blue Dragons signed him and he went 7-4 with a 3.72 ERA. He improved to 7-5 with a 2.51 ERA in 1983, and he was 6th in ERA (between Gil-hwan Lee and Si-jin Kim). Lee was 1-3 with a 2.65 ERA in 1984, but he only pitched 4 games with the big club in 1985, then he announced his retirement. He was the pitching coach of the Hanwha Eagles from 2001 to 2002, and he coached Seorak High School from 2008 to 2010. Lee was a long-time commentor for KBS and Skysports for more than 20 yeas.
Overall, Lee was 15-12 with a 3.12 ERA, struck out 107 and pitched 276 2/3 innings in 4 seasons in the KBO.
