Biographical Information

Kuo-Chien Chiang pitched in the CPBL.

Chiang was drafted by the Lamigo Monkeys in the 6th round of the 2018 CPBL Draft, and he had a 9.43 ERA in 27 relief outings in the minors in 2019. His ERA was 6.94 in 7 games with the big club in that season, and he allowed 23 runs in 13 1/3 innings in 2020. Chiang set the CPBL record by allowing 4 homers in an inning on July 1 against the CTBC Brothers. He gave up 14 runs in 6 innings in 2021, then the Monkeys released him. The Uni-President Lions picked him up, and Chiang had a solid 1.54 ERA in 13 games in 2022. However, he only had 4 appearances with the big club in 2023, and he was released again. He then signed with the Fubon Guardians
