Biographical Information[edit]

Kris Doorey is a college coach. He began his career an assistant at Stony Brook University (1995-1997). He was assistant at MacMurray College in 1998 then was 62-61-1 as head coach from 1999-2001. He joined SUNY Plattsburgh in 2002. He won SUNY Athletic Conference Coach of the Year honors in 2003. In 2005, the school was 25-13, their first winning record in 40 years. They set a school record for wins at 27-14 in 2006. He repeated as SUNYAC Coach of the Year in 2009. In 2010, he guided the school to its first 30-win season. He earned his third SUNYAC Coach of the Year award in 2012. He was 362-407-1 after 21 years as a head coach. After the 2021 season, Doorey moved to Florida Southern College as the director of athletics development.

Doorey played at Clinton Community College.

His uncle Jephrey Doorey played in the minors.
