Biographical Information[edit]

The uncle of Kris Doorey, Jephrey Doorey pitched one season in the minors.

The Montréal Expos took him in the 33rd round of the 1984 amateur draft. He was 1-2 with a 2.94 ERA in 17 games (two starts) for the Jamestown Expos that summer. In 33 2/3 IP, he allowed 32 hits and 11 walks while striking out 32. He was also 2 for 3 with a run and a RBI offensively. Doorey was assistant coach of State University of New York at Plattsburgh from 2008-2012, and again in 2014, when his nephew was head coach there.
