Biographical Information[edit]
Koichi Okura was the manager for the Japan women's national baseball team at the 2006 Women's Baseball World Cup (when they won the Silver Medal), 2008 Women's Baseball World Cup (when they won their first Gold) and 2010 Women's Baseball World Cup (another Gold). He then became coach for the 2012 Women's Baseball World Cup (Gold) and switched back to managing them to a title in the 2014 Women's Baseball World Cup. He also coached the Komazawa University from 2017 to 2023.
