Kohsuke Tomita pitched in Nippon Pro Baseball for 5 years and also played in Australia, Taiwan and the USA.
Tomita played for the Kagawa Olive Guyners in 2011, and he was drafted by the Yokohama BayStars in the first round of the development phase of the 2011 NPB draft. He had a 6.00 ERA in 10 games in the NPB Farm Leagues in 2012, and he pitched 9 shutout innings for the Leones de Ponce after that season. Tomita made his NPB debut on August 6, 2013, but that was his only appearance with the big club. He was released after the 2014 season, and he recorded a 4.71 for the Spokane Indians in 2015. Tomita's ERA was 2.19 in 7 games for the Melbourne Aces in the 2015-2016 ABL, and he pitched 4 games with a 2.57 ERA combined for the CTBC Brothers and Lamigo Monkeys in the CPBL minor league. Tomita returned to Kagawa in July, 2016, and he had a 1.80 ERA in 29 games that year. He announced his retirement after the 2016 season.
