Biographical Information[edit]
Kinji Tagashira was an infielder who represented Japan in the 1995 Intercontinental Cup, going 1 for 7 with a walk, steal, run and a RBI. He handled seven chances error-free, backing up Hiroyuki Watanabe at 3B and Masahiro Nojima at short. Japan won Silver; he won another Silver with them in the 1998 Asian Games. When Japan won the 1997 Intercontinental Cup for their global title, he hit .348/.423/.826 and handled 20 chances error-free, starting at third. He played for Mitsubishi Kurashiki in the Industrial League after college.
