Kichiro Shimaoka (島岡 吉郎)

Biographical Information[edit]
Kichiro Shimaoka was Meiji University's manager from 1952 to 1988. His teams won the Tokyo Big6 Baseball League pennant fifteen times, five All-Japan University Baseball Championships, and two Japan-U.S. University Championships. He also managed the Japanese national team in the 1954.
Shimaoka was inducted into the Japanese Baseball Hall of Fame in 1991.
