Biographical Information[edit]

Pitcher Kevin Price played in the minor leagues from 1981 to 1988. He was taken 4th overall by the California Angels in the Regular phase of the 1981 January draft, between outfielders Randy Milligan and Eric Bullock. Though he briefly reached Triple A in 1986, he never made the major leagues.

Perhaps his best campaign as a starter was 1983, when he went 15-10 with 10 complete games and a 3.76 ERA in 26 starts for the Redwood Pioneers. The previous year, he had 10 wins and 7 complete games for the Danville Suns, but also lost 16 games and had a 4.98 ERA.

In 1985, he joined the Montreal Expos system, where he converted to the bullpen. All three of his seasons in that organization were solid, with 1987 the best. That season, he was 9-4 with 19 saves and a 2.40 ERA in 57 appearances for the Jacksonville Expos. He signed with the Baltimore Orioles for 1988, but was traded with infielder David Smith to the Milwaukee Brewers on August 9 for first baseman Tim Pyznarski.

Overall, Price went 65-57 with a 3.90 ERA in 279 games (100 starts) over eight seasons.
