John Kevin Maine


The father of John Maine, Kevin Maine was picked by the New York Mets in the 22nd round of the 1969 amateur draft. Kevin pitched one year in the minors, spread between three teams - the Marion Mets (0-2, 2 Sv, 5.19 in 12 outings), DeLand Sun Caps (0-2, 8.40 in seven games) and Visalia Mets (0-1, 5.14 in 11 appearances).

After his baseball career ended, Maine became an English teacher at North Stafford High School.
