Biographical Information[edit]
Kevin Jarvis faced Mark Grudzielanek more than anyone else in his career. In 31 at-bats, Grudzielanek collected eight hits - including two doubles and a home run - for a .258 batting average.
In 2008, Jarvis was a pro scout for the Arizona Diamondbacks.
Jarvis holds the all-time record for the most seasons with an ERA above 7.00 (no minimum IP). He had six such seasons, one more than four other pitchers. His career ERA is 6.03. In his defence, his career came in the heart of the "steroids era" of Major League Baseball, which inflated offensive numbers across the board.
Kevin's son Bryce Jarvis reached the majors in 2023.
